Some people love running round the woods shooting at each
other playing mad games! It's called paintballing and it's a great day
out!
Paintball started in 1981 as a way of hunters showing their friends how
good tehy were at stealth and shooting.
The secret of being a great paintballer is to be able to move quietly,
almost invisibly blending in with the surroundings and then having a brilliant
aim so when you shoot you score!
Don't move just for movings sake - when you're still you're more hidden
than when you're running about, especially if you're screaming.
Discuss tactics. Should you pair up so you can move and cover each other
as you go.

Normally paintballing days are at the weekend - Saturdays & Sundays
but if you've got a big enough gang of people wanting to go during the
week then you can go during the week.
On average you'll shoot between 500 and 600 balls of paint. You can
of course go trigger happy and shoot more.
Paintballing games include
Hostage Rescue - one person will be nominated hostage and must not
be shot or the game is lost. The rescuers then have to find the hostage
and recapture them and take them to safety away from the hostage takers.
Capture The Flag Paintballing
Each team has a flag at their base and they have to defend their own
flag whilst capturing the opposing teams. Skillful tactics make this
a thrilling game where sniping can pick off the opponents when they're
defending too well.
